What is the Partnership?

In May 2013, in anticipation of changing demographics , the Larimer County Office on Aging (LCOA) and the Foundation on Aging (FOA), a countywide non-profit, invited several Larimer County agencies and organizations to come together with the intention to promote livable communities in Larimer County. Named the Partnership for Age-Friendly Communities, a formal collaboration was established and began planning specific actions to further develop aspects of a livable, age-friendly community throughout Larimer County.

Why “Age-Friendly”?

While the PAFC focuses on issues related to the growing senior population, we chose the term “age-friendly” because PAFC is dedicated to the proposition that a community that creates a physical, social and cultural environment friendly to seniors benefits residents of all ages and abilities.
