Stakeholders' Workshop and Beyond

In February 2014, selected stakeholders were invited to a workshop underwritten by n4a and organized by the CSU Center for Public Deliberation. The format consisted of a series of informed roundtable discussions of the four priority areas and of realistic goals for short and long term improvement in those areas. At the end of the day attendees were asked to commit to ongoing discussions and planning in at least one of the four priority areas. It was a productive event with valuable discussion and an impressive willingness on the part of attendees to con- tribute to furthering one of these priorities. Priority groups began meeting the following month, goals were set and actionable items defined that could be executed by self-directed teams of volunteers.

Once the priority groups were in place, PAFC graduated from a steering committee of initial collaborators into our current working structure.
